This 1.88-ha. park, located in the Pleasantview neighbourhood, was named in honour of Angus A. Murray (b. 1916), an outstanding member of the community. Born in Saskatchewan, Murray came to Edmonton after serving in WWII. He joined the Lions Club in 1966 and introduced pee-wee baseball to his community. He also sponsored and supported Pleasantview hockey teams.
