W. "Daddy" Brennan (b. 1871) worked for more than three decades for Edmonton's street railway. Born and raised in England, Brennan was 40 years old when he emigrated to Edmonton and took a position with the City of Edmonton's street railway. He brought to the job six years of experience working for the Stockport Street railway department in England. Brennan worked for the Edmonton's railway for 35 years, training almost every employee who joined the service.
